Liebster Award

No life in photos today because I've been nominated by the lovely Shell of Kitty and Buck for a liebster award! This is so exciting I want to scream. She made really nice banners so I've used those. Check out her lovely blog here and find my answers to her questions below.

Description of the award:
The Liebster award is given to upcoming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. The meaning: Liebster is German and means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing and welcome.

The RULES
- Post 11 things about yourself
- Answer the questions that the tagger sets for you
- Create 11 new questions for the people you've tagged to answer
- Tag 11 people and link them in your post

1. I love pugs so much! I can't wait to have one of my own later, so it can play with my cat Laila and they can just be cute together.

2. I hate some really normal sounds. Like a vacuum cleaner. Or the sound of a flush. (I always put my hands over my ears and then I push the flushbutton with my elbow. It sounds weird and it looks even weirder, let me assure you. Sorry for that crazy information!)

3. I like to think of myself that I don't need a lot to be happy but I can't stop imagining how it would be like to be very rich and to be able to have everything. Like a huge closet with more clothes than I could ever wear. So that's the superficial part about me, I guess.

4. Every time I get bitten by a mosquito (every day from the beginning of March to the end of October), I get crazy. I have so much trouble trying not to scratch myself and I have dozens of scars from when I did scratch. Sometimes I even wake up with blood on my legs because I scratched during my sleep...

5. My favorite colour changes a lot. I don't actually have one and I'll never be able to pick just one because I like so many colours.

6. I get obsessed with something easily. Especially (teenage) fantasy books. Harry Potter is still number one, followed by the Hunger Games. I could go on days about these books, what they mean to me and why they're so amazing.

7. I'm an only child. Sometimes I wish I wasn't and a lot of times I'm glad about it.

8. I have a lot of pet peeves. It's not something I'm proud of because I hate pet peeves and I wish I was an extremely patient person that didn't get bothered by so many things. (Like normal noises.)

9. I adore make up and nail polish (especially the latter) but I'm a mess at applying. Make-up would like a disaster on my face so I don't own any. I do own nail polishes but I only very rarely use them since I'm not so good at it either and I'm actually a little too lazy to practice a lot.

10. Apparently, I'm a very fragile person. I have a lot of physical flaws like bad sight, allergies, stomach aches, migraine and now even palpitations. It really sucks.

11. I'm a huge cryer. Especially with movies. I just can't help it, I try to suck it up sometimes but that makes it worse. It's especially inconvenient when I'm mad. I'm not very convincing when I'm crying whilst trying to be angry... But I cry when I'm happy as well, a lot. What's wrong with me?

1. Would you rather explore deep space or the deep ocean?
I'm not very fond of the ocean so this is an easy choice. I get creeped out by sharks (even though they're magnificent, I prefer them from a huge distance) and all of those underwater creatures. Also, I think that dark water is a little scary so I would pick to explore deep space. I really like the structure and the infinity of our universe.

2. If you could be any character in a movie, who would you be? Why?
Definitely Hermione from Harry Potter. As I explained, I'm kind of obsessed with Harry Potter and the surrounding magic and Hermione is an extremely smart witch so... I wouldn't date Ron though, haha.

3. Which blog do you read first every day?
Since I use readers like GFC and Bloglovin, I just go through in the order it's at. I prefer Bloglovin so I just start by clicking on a post and then on 'next' and so on untill I've read all of the new posts.

4. Skirts or pants?
Dresses! I can't really choose between skirts or pants. Sometimes I just want to put on pants because they're really easy and comfortable, especially for active things but I really like the 'freedom' you have with a skirt and tights.

5. Name 5 people from any time past or present who you'd invite to a dinner party.
This is a really hard one since I don't actually have rolemodels or people I admire that are real. It wouldn't be so bad to invite my favorite fantasy characters! So I can't really answer this questions properly since I don't really have someone I look up to which I now think is kind of sad.

6. What is your dream holiday destination?
I have two categories. I haven't even been to the United States or Canada but that's where I imagine myself living later and I can't really tell why. I'm just really pulled by those countries. But to actually go on a holiday, I would prefer Asian countries like China, Japan, Thailand, Cambodja etc. There's so much about them that is unknown to us and yet so amazing.

7. What is your favourite book and/or film?
I'll have to point out my obsession for teenage fantasy books again because there just my favourite reads. And then there are chickflicks. Oh how much I've hated my love for them... I read a lot of books (except thrillers and detectives) and I have favourites in every genre but chickflicks are such an easy read to just relax and unwind.

8. Tell me one of your dreams (a nighttime one, you know, that you have when you're asleep).
One recurring dream is of me falling of things. I know a lot of people who've had these as well and I can't really tell what I'm falling of. It's a really strange feeling thought because it actually really feels like I'm falling and at the point where I would hit the ground, I wake up.

9. Who was your first crush on?
I have no idea! I've had a lot of crushes over the last couple of years (I'm such a child) but I have no idea who I used to like when I was little. I was actually always in love with animals back then (I still am a lot of the time).

10. If you had to choose one food to eat for the rest of life, what would it be?
If I have to choose one food instead of a dish, it would definitely be potatoes. Some people love them and others hate them but I could eat them every day. Even without anything with them. Cooked, fried or baked; I love them either way.

11. What do you want to be when you grow up?
A traveller, an adventurer, an optimist, a mother, a wife, a grandmother, a friend, an inspiration and so much more. But as for a career, I'm not even studying so I have no idea. I have a lot of interests so I don't know what to choose for now.

1. What is your favourite colour and why (in five words)? Those five words would actually imply what you think of yourself.
2. What is your favourite animal and why (in five words)? Those five words would actually imply what you would like in a friend.
3. What have you always wanted to do but never did because you don't dare to?
4. What was your dream career as a child?
5. What's your favourite game?
6. Tell me about the weirdest dream you have (in life).
7. Where would you like to go on your next vacation if money was no problem?
8. What do you like most about blogging?
9. What's your favourite holiday? (Your birthday doesn't count, even though that's mine too)
10. If you would be a contestant at the Olympics, which sport would you be there for?
11. How do you like to spend your time on a day to day basis?

  2. Thank you so much for nominating me! I didn't even know you knew of my blog! :) I will be following your blog now! I will answer your questions this week and leave you another comment here with the link!

I am also an only child and feel the same way you do. Now that I am 30years old I think it would be great to have a brother or sister. As a young child though, you enjoy being the only one I think.

  5. oh my goodness! i love pugs too and a pug and kitty playing would be sooo adorable. i am also a compulsive scratcher and always bleed like crazy from bug bites. and i would do potatoes too. i LOVE potatoes. or maybe cheese. or maybe potatoes and cheese - can that be a thing? i use GFC too, but i always go through my comments first to make sure i am giving good attention to those who have taken the time to interact with me - and i get friendships out of that. disqus gives me some problems though... and i'm a dress/skirt person myself, i haven't worn pants in 8 months now... tehe! and i want to be a mother/grandmother/friend etc too - i have a good career and feel 'grown up' but i think my goals are a bit more family orientated. i'm annoyingly traditional like that!

i would love to do this, but i actually did this months ago (somewhere deep in my archives this exists on my blog) and feel bad doing it again. plus i think my brain might explode from analyzing myself too much lately :D but thank you! i'm glad you found me and i'm excited to keep reading your blog.
